Tarisai Garande is a board-governance champion and impact-tech investor who has spent 25 years embedding sustainability into growth and infrastructure strategies across Europe, the Americas, Asia and Africa.

A natural bridge-builder, she co-founded the African Technology Foundation, bridging Silicon Valley with Africa, and brought Techstars to sub-Saharan Africa, sparking a continent-wide start-up movement.

A graduate of the Financial Times Non-Executive Director Programme, she serves on the boards of Cheza Nami, whose arts-based programmes reach thousands of Northern-California students each year, and the Beach Break Film Festival, harnessing cinema for community action.

As a thought leader, she has contributed to the Financial Times and guided conversations on international stages, including at Davos doing the World Economic Forum. Passionate about advancing women into positions of influence, she mentors emerging leaders through the Financial Times Women in Business Forum.

She holds an Executive MBA from IE Business School, an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London, and a BSc in Environmental Science from Kingston University.
