I have always been fascinated by technological progress and the way innovation reshapes industries, businesses, and everyday life. My curiosity about emerging technologies and my desire to understand how complex systems work naturally led me to pursue a career in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. What began as an interest in technology evolved into a lifelong commitment to leveraging innovation to create business value and meaningful transformation.
For more than thirty years, I have worked at the intersection of technology, business strategy, and transformation. My career began in telecommunications, one of the most dynamic industries of its time, where I learned how large-scale systems, rapid decision-making, and technological innovation could shape entire markets. Those early experiences taught me that technology is not merely an operational capability; it is a strategic force that can redefine organizations.
Throughout my career, I have consistently chosen opportunities where transformation was needed most. I participated in the launch of a new mobile operator in Türkiye, helping build systems and capabilities from the ground up in a highly competitive environment. Later, I led initiatives involving speech technologies, omnichannel customer experience platforms, ERP transformations, and large-scale digitalization programs—many of them pioneering implementations within their industries.
Yet the achievements I value most are not the technologies themselves. They are the organizational capabilities and cultural shifts that remain long after a project is completed. I have always believed that successful transformation is not measured by systems going live, but by people embracing new ways of working and organizations developing the confidence to continuously evolve. Sustainable change happens when individuals understand the purpose behind transformation and feel part of the journey.
Today, as an Executive Board Member responsible for Information Technology at a diversified investment holding company, I oversee technology strategy across businesses operating in telecommunications distribution, logistics, fleet leasing, construction, and other sectors. My role extends beyond technology delivery. It involves aligning business objectives with digital capabilities, evaluating technology investments, fostering innovation, and helping leadership teams view technology as a driver of growth rather than a support function.
Being named a finalist would be a tremendous honor. It would represent recognition of a mission that has guided my career for more than thirty years: not to implement technology for its own sake, but to position it as a strategic enabler of growth, resilience, and competitive advantage. The journey continues, driven by a passion for transformation and lasting impact.
