Hedwige Nuyens is the CEO of the International Banking Federation, she leads policy advocacy to enhance the financial services industry’s global response to governmental issues. She serves pro bono as the Chair of European Women on Boards, championing gender balance in decision-making. Hedwige has played an instrumental role in the EU Women on Boards Directive. Hedwige has been married for 40 years and has three children. She holds a Law degree and master’s in financial sciences from the Catholic University of Louvain, and an MBA from EHSAL Brussels, alongside various advanced certifications in Digital Transformation, Sustainable Finance, Artificial Intelligence, and Cyber Security.
