Dr. Marijana Mionić Ebersold is an accomplished innovation strategist, leader, and senior expert, currently serving as an independent consultant and Advisory Board Member of the Horizon Europe SYMBA project. She is recognized for her ability to build bridges between research, industry, and investment, with a strong track record of advising startups on scaling, fundraising, and accessing public and private funding opportunities across Switzerland and the EU.
Earlier in her career, Dr. Mionić Ebersold held leadership and innovation roles at OC Oerlikon, CHUV, and EPFL, where she developed advanced materials and surface solutions for diverse industries. Today, she leverages that industrial and scientific expertise to accelerate technology commercialization, helping startups and corporates translate breakthrough innovations into viable, market-ready products.
Renowned for connecting science, strategy, and capital, she combines deep technical knowledge with strategic foresight, enabling companies to secure funding, build strong partnerships, and drive sustainable industrial transformation.
She holds an MSc in Environmental Protection, a PhD in Experimental Solid-State Physics (EPFL), and a postdoc in Materials Science (EPFL). She has also completed executive programs in ESG (IMD), social media strategy (AWAI), board readiness and C-level leadership (EWOB), as well as the Women’s Leadership Program at the HSG Executive School.
