Donatien Chedom Fotso

Donatien Chedom Fotso is a Data Science and AI leader with over 18 years of experience spanning both academia and industry. For more than a decade, he has successfully designed and delivered impactful, end-to-end AI solutions across various industries. He specialises in building and leading high-performing AI/data teams, driving the implementation and adoption of state-of-the-art AI/ML technologies.

Donatien holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics and a degree in Computer Science. His academic work includes contributions at the University of Oxford, where he applied AI and machine learning techniques to cancer research—enhancing understanding of disease evolution, personalised therapies, and early diagnostics. He previously led the Applied AI team at Deutsche Bank’s Data Science Centre of Excellence, overseeing the development and deployment of enterprise-wide AI solutions across multiple business units.

Currently, Donatien is a Director of Artificial Intelligence at EPAM Systems, where he primarily focuses on the BFSI sector, driving growth and AI-enabled value creation for organisations. He is passionate about integrating cutting-edge research with practical industry applications, consistently applying the latest AI and ML advancements to solve real-world problems.
