About the role
Risk at Revolut operates across all functions, products, and regions to monitor front-line performance and ensure the business operates safely. They’re among the first to be involved in new initiatives, from tech to customer support.
We’re looking for a Head of Operational Risk to continue improving our risk management framework and governance structures. You’ll use data to track daily risk exposures and support reporting to internal and external stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing
- Defining operational risk strategy, ensuring it’s appropriately responsive to the business strategy and regulatory areas of focus
- Leading the design and implementation of operational risk policies, procedures, key indicators, and appetite statement
- Developing and maintaining risk tools and systems
- Monitoring operational risk against limits and thresholds, producing respective reports to management and other relevant stakeholders
- Leading a team of risk professionals, managing their ongoing performance
- Working with senior management to identify, assess, document, and regularly review our operational risk profile
- Conducting regular assurance activities to ensure the design and operating effectiveness of controls, data quality, policy implementation, etc.
- Developing and implementing techniques for quantification of operational risk and resilience, including stress testing
- Preparing and presenting updates to executive committees
- Engaging with regulators on matters relating to operational risk
What you’ll need
- 10+ years of experience in operational risk management within banking or financial services
- An advanced understanding of core operational risk concepts
- Experience leading teams
- Previous examples of practically interpreting and organising complex data
- Knowledge of regulatory landscape and experience engaging with regulatory bodies
- To be curious and never accepting of assumptions, with a desire to fully understand how things work
- To be organised and have a methodological approach
